Royal Caribbean International has changed its testing protocols for fully vaccinated passengers.
Those who are fully vaccinated do not need to be tested if they are on a cruise of five nights or less. Exceptions are cruises with stops in Bermuda and Canada and longer cruises.
Unvaccinated children no longer need to be retested on boarding, but they still need to show the first negative test performed before departure.
Virgin Voyages has eliminated the pre-boarding test requirement on July 24 for European Union departures and July 27 for United States departures.
Travelers now only need to provide confirmation that they are fully vaccinated before boarding. However, the cruise line does not require this: it now allows ten percent of all guests on each cruise to not be vaccinated.
Unvaccinated passengers must be tested before or during travel.
Carnival Corporation & plc
On August 4, Carnival Cruise Line changed its regulations. Fully vaccinated guests traveling on a cruise of five nights or less are no longer required to take a pre-boarding test.
Unvaccinated visitors over the age of two can browse as long as they have a recent negative COVID-19 test result.
Princess Cruises has unique protocols for each location in the world. Travelers 12 years and older traveling from US ports and stopping in Canada at any time during their voyage must be fully vaccinated, as are most guests on other Princess itineraries. Upon boarding, these passengers must present a recent negative COVID-19 test.
Netherlands America Line’s North American itineraries currently require travelers 12 years and older to be fully vaccinated, with all guests 2 years and older being required to provide a recent negative COVID-19 result upon boarding. Prior to boarding, cruise ship passengers bound for Canada must also complete the ArriveCAN application.
