Hyatt to Open Two of the “Highest All-Inclusive” Resorts in Playa del Carmen

Hyatt’s Apple Leisure Group is launch two all-inclusive adults-only resorts in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on February 11 and April 1, respectively.

According to Hyatt, leisure travel is on the rise with a strong preference for all-inclusive resorts and experiences.

The resorts, which will be part of Apple Leisure Group’s Secrets Brand by AMR Collection, promise to present the “highest level of all-inclusive” for the Secrets brand.

“We remain very intentional about where the Hyatt brand grows to ensure that we are present in the markets that matter most to the leisure-focused traveler of today and tomorrow,” said Jim Chu, executive vice president, franchise and global development, Hyatt.

“Our pipeline of new properties signals that Hyatt is well prepared to meet the demand for more leisure travel experiences.”

Secrets Moxche, premieres February 11

Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen, an adults-only resort with 198 rooms, is scheduled to open on February 11.

Seven à la carte restaurants, buffet and coffee shop will be among its 11 different eating concepts, as well as ten bars and lounges.

Secrets Impression Moxche, opening April 1

Secrets ‘Impression’ Moxche Playa del Carmen, meanwhile, will feature the brand’s highest all-inclusive enhanced grade, according to the corporation.

The adults-only resort, with 485 rooms, is expected to open on April 1. Guests will have access to the Moxche resort’s culinary selections, as well as other exclusive ‘print’ features that will remain under wraps for the time being.

Hyatt also revealed intentions to expand its brand in the Americas, with hotel openings scheduled through 2023.

Between 2022 and 2023, up to 45 hotels, including Apple Leisure Group (ALG) AMR Collection properties, are expected to join Hyatt’s portfolio of brands.

According to company statistics, late 2021 and early 2022 increased demand for leisure travel, with many resorts in the United States setting new RevPAR (revenue per available room) records.
