France is open to tourists from EU countries and some other European and 6 non-European nations. Permitted visitors must bring a negative COVID-19 test or agree to take the test on arrival and undergo a 7-day quarantine if testing at the point of departure is not possible.

France eased travel restrictions and now travelers from seven previously banned countries can be admitted for any purpose. The authorities also included family issues as a compelling reason to travel to France from prohibited countries.

April 8 – France faces a new national blockade

Due to a struggle with what the French government calls the “EU-wide delay in launching the vaccine”, France had to impose a severe third nationwide blockade from April 3 until at least the beginning of May .

As the country’s hospitals are overloaded with patients with COVID-19 and the French government has had to close all non-essential businesses, including schools.

The new national curfew runs from 7:00 pm to 6:00 am.

March 20 – Suspension of travel ban to seven countries

Travelers from Australia, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom are allowed to enter France for any purpose.

All arrivals from these countries must have a negative result from the COVID-19 test carried out 72 hours before departure. They will also need to isolate themselves for 7 days and complete one sworn statement.

February 26 – New three-week block in Paris

Paris lawmakers are aiming to impose a strict new three-week deadline lockdown in an attempt to contain an increase in coronavirus infections in the city and in more than a dozen additional regions. The start date has not yet been confirmed.
